Owlclaw poked his head in. Longkit jumped up from where he was sitting and rushed over to Owlclaw. "Dad!" He meows happily purring.

"Dad!" Sandkit meowed running at him then pouncing on Owlclaw's tail. Shadowkit shifted his paws uncertainly. Twilightmoon picked him up and set him in front of Owlclaw, the kits muttered his thanks.

Owlclaw turned his head to look at Sandkit. "I know it's been awhile, but being deputy makes you very busy. Good thing I wasn't very tired or I would have missed a day to be with you three." He meows. Longkit pounces and tries to get Owlclaw in the head. Owlclaw turns around and picks him up by the scuff. He walks over to Twilightmoon and puts him down.
"I want to play!" Longkit meows getting down into the fighting position in front of Owlclaw.

Sandkit batted at his tail pretending it was prey instead of tail. Twilightmoon flicked her tail across Longkit's ear "Then don't pretend hes a tree"

Longkit looked at her. He jumped from side to side trying to figure out a good place to attack. Owlclaw watched him while he just sat there. Longkit jumped to the other side and Owlclaw put out his front paw tripping Longkit.
"Hey, that's not fair!" Longkit meows.
"Well, if you keep jumping like that in a real battle, you give the enemy a better chance of getting you first. Try again, but this time just attack me." Owlclaw meows. Longkit nodded and got back up. He got down ready to jump. He sprang at Owlclaw. Owlclaw side-stepped. Longkit's eyes went wide as he crashed into Sandkit.

Sandkit felt a sudden weight on her and she squeaked out in pain "Get off of me you great lump!" she meowed trying to push him off, swearing she heard Shadowkit laughing at her.

Owlclaw picked up Longkit. "That wasn't fair dad!" Longkit squeaks.
"Everything's fair in the ways of a warrior." Owlclaw meows. "You must be ready for a cat to dodge your attacks, if you're not then you might as well as say that you lost."
"Why?" Longkit meows as he puts him down.
"Well, if you're not ready for your enemy to dodge, you have shown weakness in your fighting skill. You're enemy will keep getting you as you fall when he dodges. Just like what happened." Owlclaw meows.
"Oh." Longkit meows.
"Try again." Owlclaw meows this time he wasn't sitting. Longkit looked up at Owlclaw who was so much bigger than him. Longkit faked a jumping attack to confuse Owlclaw. As Owlclaw dodged the fake jump, he noticed it was a fake. Longkit ran underneath Owlclaw, nipping at his legs. Longkit spun around and jumped on Owlclaw's back and raked his small, long, and curved claws down his back. Longkit stopped himself noticing what he had done. Blood flowed out of the scratches. Owlclaw closed his eyes as the pain flowed through his bones.

Twilightmoon picked up Longkit and set him behind her. Shadowkit helped Sandkit up whos fur was still fluffed up "Are you alright?" Shadowkit meowed quietly. Sandkit licked her paw "My paw hurts" she mewed. Shadowkit helped her back to the nest "You must have landed on it"

Owlclaw shook himself. "I'll be fine." He meows. Longkit felt himself shake all over. What have I done! He thought to himself.
"Mom, I-I-I-I didn't mean to." Longkit stuttered trying to get the words out through every sob.

Twilightmoon held her tongue from snapping at Longkit. She shoved them to their nest then looked back at Owlclaw "You should know better then having one of the kits fight you! You could have easily hurt them, as Longkit hurt you"

Owlclaw looked at her. She-cats. He thought to himself. " I wasn't honestly going to do anything to Longkit. I just wanted to see how he fought. I didn't expect him to actually unsheathe him claws."
Longkit wasn't tired and he listened to their mom and dad fight. "It's all my fault again!" He let himself wail it out and he didn't fight back to stop him shaking and sobbing.
