Longkit jumped in fight. He fell on the ground and looked up at Stormstar with wide scared eyes.

Stormstar laughed softly. He scented the air and instantly his fur started bristling. "Get down!"

Longkit looked up, but instantly got down. "What is it?" He meows scared.

"Dog." Stormstar meowed. At that moment a large black dog came tumbling through the undergrowth. "Don't get up until I say so." Stormstar meowed and threw himself at the dog.

Longkit put his paws over his head and his tail around his body.

Stormstar dug his claws into the dog's back and pulled. A huge chunk of the dog's fur came out, followed by a lot of blood. Stormstar leaped off the back of the dog.

Longkit didn't get up, but could smell the scent of fresh blood. He coughed at the tang of the blood.

Stormstar sliced at the dog's neck and hit. The dog fell over and lay still, bleeding heavily.
