Sparrowstar set down Mountainfur, he was still breathing. She ran to the medicine cat den then came back with cobwebs and other materials. She stenched the bleeding then began to clean the blood that had dried on his fur.

Owlclaw set down Shadowkit. "Go on back to the nursery." He meowed to Shadowkit then looked back over at Sparrowstar and Mountainfur.

Shadowkit listened closely for Mountainfur's heart beat, slow and weak but there. He walked back to the den dragging his tail.

Owlclaw watched him go. He could tell Shadowkit was very upset. He let out a sigh and looked back at them.

Sparrowstar finished cleaning Mountainfur, he shifted slightly his eyes fluttered open and he could make out two figures, but they were blurry. "Wha?" he voice croaked. Sparrowstar licked his ear.
"Try not to talk Mountainfur, you lost alot of blood, Owlclaw could you get him some water please?" Sparrowstar asked.

"Is Shadowkit alright?" asked Moutainfur his voice barely above a whisper.
"Yes he is, and very worried about you."

After awhile, Owlclaw quickly, but carefully walked back into the clearing. He was holding a wad of moss that was wet from the spring water. He walked up to Mountainfur and placed it down by his mouth. "Here you go," he meowed then turned back to Sparrowstar. "Have anything else that I need to do? If not, I'd like to go check on Shadowkit."

"No there isn't go on." Sparrowstar meowed gently pushing the moss closer then watched Mountainfur lap the water.

Owlclaw turned around and walked over to the nursery. He hoped Sparrowstar was alright. It must have been a shock to her that Mountainfur, her only kit left, had almost died. He soon made it to the nursery. He took a deep breath and stepped in.

Sparrowstar brushed her tail along Mountainfur's flank "How are you feeling?" Mountainfur had his eyes closed but she knew he wasn't sleeping.
"Like a monster hit me."
Sparrowstar pured rumbled "At least you humor hasn't been damaged."
"I'm sorry, that I couldn't stop Flamestorm." Mountainfur murmured.
Sparrowstar lay beside him "Thats not your fault, once you are well enough to walk with out help I'm going to see Stormstar, and end this the evil in the clans has to be destroyed."

~A few days later~
Shadowkit walked patiently at Mountainfur's side "Are you hungry?"
Mountainfur purred "Famished"
Shadowkit nodded he smelled out the fresh-kill pile and ran over, he choose out a rabbit and dragged it back to Mountainfur.
Mountainfur laid down "Want to share?"
"Sure."
The two ate in silence for a few moments "So you and your littermates are what three moons old?"
"Yea, four in a few days."
"Any mentors in mind?"
"No, not really I know Longkit wouldn't mind having Owlclaw, Sandkit, would want either Twilightmoon or Sparrowstar."
Mountainfur took another bite slowly chewing nodding along.

"Now what do you want to do?" asked Shadowkit. Mountainfur swiped his tongue over his whiskers removing any trace of blood.
"Think Sparrowstar will let us out of camp?"
Shadowkit seemed to ponder this. "I don't know, I'm still a kit, one that could very well fall into a rabbit hole, and if we get attacked..."
Mountainfur nodded "I guess your right maybe tomorrow, I guess I will deal with the nursery then"

Twilightmoon padded out of the nursery, sure her kits were sleeping. She picked a rabbit from the pile and lay off to the side, Mountainfur left the warriors den and padded over to her side.
"Would you like to share?" she asked. Mountainfur nodded laying on the opposite side of the rabbit. Sparrowstar jumped down from the prairie ledge.
"Good I wanted to talk to you two. Twilightmoon how old will your kits be next moon?" asked Sparrowstar.
Twilightmoon swiped her tongue over her whiskers "Six moons, did you have mentors in mind?"
Sparrowstar nodded "Yes, Twilightmoon do think you could mentor Sandkit?"
Twilightmoon's green eyes glimmered "I would love to"
Sparrowstar purred and turned to Mountainfur "And Mountainfur I want you to mentor Shadowkit."
Mountainfur opened his mouth closed it then opened it again "But isn't he supposed to be a medicine cat?"
Sparrowstar shrugged "He wants to be a warrior and I'm not going to deny him that."
"Want about Longkit?" inquired Twilightmoon.
"Owlclaw"
"Skykit?" she asked again, even though he wasn't her kit she still cared for him.
"Whitestorm...speaking of which have any of you noticed that hes been gone alot?"
The two warriors nodded "Yea, its weird." said Mountainfur.

Owlclaw couldn't sleep. He walked out of the warrior's den and stretched his legs. Noticing the three, he padded over.
